in Our Counselors

Have you ever felt lost, alone, or misunderstood? Are shame, guilt, and low self-worth keeping you stuck? Do you feel trapped in an endless cycle of grief? I would welcome the opportunity to work together to help you heal and begin to embrace your life! My passion is helping clients heal and grow physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally.

I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and the power of positive thinking. My specialties include trauma focused therapy for clients who are survivors of emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse as well as grief therapy and eating disorders treatment. I use a holistic, person-centered approach to counseling and work as a team with my clients to help them achieve physical, emotional, and spiritual balance.

I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and this is one of the approaches I use in helping clients work through past trauma. Additionally, I use Motivational Interviewing when working with clients striving to achieve recovery from co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I hold a BA in Psychology and an MS in Counseling, both from the University of Memphis. My clinical experiences span from a college counseling center to a rehabilitation facility to private practice. Wherever you are in your journey, I look forward to working together with you to achieve optimal holistic wellness! Call me today at 256-258-7777 x 106 or email me for more information.
