Amanda Sloane, ALC

You’re capable, driven, and used to figuring things out. From the outside, it may look like you have it all together, but internally, something feels off. You may find yourself repeating familiar patterns, disconnected in your relationships, or quietly questioning who you are and what you want now.

My earlier careers, which took me from the emergency room to the newsroom and into the start-up world, have given me firsthand experience in high-pressure environments. I understand the cost of constantly pushing through. I believe that when we slow down and look beneath the surface, we begin to understand what’s really driving us and where we may be pushing past our limits.

I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Alabama. I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University, where I majored in Journalism and Women’s Studies along with a pre-med concentration. I am currently working as an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Dana Hampson, LPC-S.

I work with individuals navigating life transitions, identity shifts, and the pressure that often comes with being a high achiever, healthcare professional, or entrepreneur. Whether you’re moving through a major life transition, facing burnout, or wondering why what used to work no longer does, therapy can be a place to make sense of it all.

Together, we explore what’s holding you back so you can shed what no longer fits and move forward with more clarity and intention. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you, in a space where you don’t have to perform, fix, or figure it all out on your own.

If you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply and create lasting change, I’d be glad to work with you. Feel free to email me or call 256-258-7777 x 113 today!
