Ethan Caselberry

I am a counseling intern at The Balanced Life, LLC, completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of West Alabama under the clinical supervision of Mackenzie Boothe, LPC. I offer a calm, reflective space where clients are invited to slow down, look honestly at where they are, and begin taking meaningful steps toward where they want to be without judgment and without pressure to have it all figured out before they start.

I work with individuals, teens, and couples navigating some of life’s most significant challenges including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, relationship concerns, and the kind of life transitions that quietly reshape who you are and what you want your life to look like. My approach is grounded in genuine care and the belief that every person who walks through the door deserves a space where their story is taken seriously.

My own journey has shaped the work I do in deeply personal ways. As a former professional football player, I understand firsthand the unique pressures that come with performing at a high level the weight of expectations, the toll that anxiety and depression can take beneath a confident exterior, and how quickly feelings of stress, low self-worth, and lost identity can follow when the game you built your life around changes. I am especially drawn to working with high-performing individuals who are quietly struggling beneath the surface.

As a teacher and high school football coach, I have spent years walking alongside teenagers and I know how real the pressures they face are. Social anxiety, performance anxiety, and self-esteem struggles can be isolating for teens who do not yet have the words for what they are carrying. I bring both professional training and lived experience to those conversations, and I meet young people with patience, understanding, and a genuine desire to help them find their footing.

Wherever you are in your story, I will meet you there with steadiness, compassion, and the quiet confidence that growth is always possible. Email or call me today (256-513-9820) for more information or to get scheduled!
