in Our Team

Are you feeling stuck in unresolved emotional wounds, disconnected relationships, or unwanted relational patterns? Are you feeling pain from leaving these issues unaddressed? What if your pain was met with tenderness, empathy and understanding? What if you found a way to move toward healing and meaningful change? I'd be honored to work with you in a collaborative relationship where you are an active participant in your journey towards finding healing and wholeness.

While some of our greatest pain comes from relationships, I believe our healing and change can also happen in the context of relationships. I offer a client centered, attachment–based, and a wholistic approach to counseling, integrating the needs of mind, heart, and body. As well as utilizing and teaching different skills to help you on your journey.

I strive to offer a safe and non-judgmental space to explore mental health issues, relational pain, and traumas. I primarily meet with adults 18+ years experiencing: Relational Issues, Family of Origin Issues, Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Codependency, Divorce, Life Transitions, Complex and Developmental Trauma, and Spiritual and Religious Trauma. I have experience with Person Centered, Solution Focused, Acceptance and Commitment, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and have certificates in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Gottman level 1, and Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy.

I am an Associate Licensed Counselor in Alabama (License C3766A). I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Chattanooga, TN and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Cedarville University. I am under the supervision of Stacie Scherer (license #833).

"Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives." – Bessel Van Der Kolk M. D.
