Cierra Washington-Kelly, ALC

Hello! My name is Cierra Washington-Kelly, and becoming a counselor has always felt like my true calling. I graduated from the University of West Alabama with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, building on my bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in Psychology from Belhaven University. I completed my graduate internship with The Balanced Life and I am now practicing as an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Holly Walker, LPC-S.
My clinical focus centers on infertility and perinatal mental health, supporting both partners throughout infertility, prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum experiences. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples feel understood and cared for during these deeply emotional transitions.
In addition to my perinatal work, I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults (ages 13+). I have strong experience working with teens and take pride in creating a space that feels safe, relatable, and empowering for younger clients. I am also dedicated to affirming and supporting the LGBTQ+ community, approaching each person with cultural humility, respect, and acceptance.
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and somatic-based techniques. I provide support for religious and spiritual deconstruction and I help clients navigate identity shifts, anxiety, depression, trauma, and the complex emotions that arise when long-held beliefs or life expectations begin to change.
